Wednesday
We walked to a National Trust property called Knole House.
After an uneventful journey (which did involve climbing stone steps over a nice wall surrounding the estate, which is a deer park) we reached the house.
You weren't allowed to take photos inside (which I think is as disgraceful as it is expected) but it wasn't that interesting anyway - mostly very old chairs you weren't allowed to sit on, paintings you weren't allowed to doodle moustaches on, etc.
On the way back we tried to take a different route and got severely lost several times.
Thursday
We took a look around the local church (St. Mary's) which was right next to the hostel (although you had to walk a slightly longer way to actually get there).
In the afternoon we took the train to a nearby place that had a Roman villa.
The villa (remains of...) was OK and had quite a nice mosaic; but after looking at that, we set off back on foot.
We stopped in to look at a rather flash church on the way...
The last past of our walk was along the North Downs Way again, but in the opposite direction from on Tuesday.
